It's been awhile since we've written. Our little men have been growing like crazy.

Trevahn officially passed the 1st grade and is now going to summer school. He's anxiously awaiting his trip to visit his Jilly and Stuart.

Eliahs is getting so big! He has 8 teeth, is sitting up on his own and is SO close to crawling. His new favorite thing to do is stand! He's eating lots of new foods every week and is NOT a picky eater at all - Chad is happy about that.

The boys just finished swimming lessons, Trevahn advanced from Polliwog and Eliahs (and Chad) from Shrimp. They all had a good time learning!

Eliahs had his first experience up north... in the camper... on the boat and the evil life jacket. He hates it!

Chad is staying home during the day with the boys this summer. They have exciting new adventures every day! Chad is teaching Trevahn how to cook - and he's doing a great job. Chad has also been busy doing many projects around the house including growing us some pie pumpkins.

Here are some pictures and a promise to post more frequently!

hello eliahs here. now that i'm almost 6 months old, mom said it was time i write my first blog. i didn't know what a blog was, so she told me that all my family reads this and it's my chance to tell everyone how i'm doing. well, i've sure been busy! growing, discovering and learning new things. this world is such an exciting place! i like to sit up on my own now, until i get bored, then i tip over - it's fun! when mom and dad put me down on the ground, i can almost roll over but my darn arm keeps getting in the way! it makes me really angry sometimes because they put all my favorite toys all around me and i can't get to them! but my most favorite thing to do is jump in my jumper! at first i thought that's all it did, but a few weeks ago, i discovered this neat little wheel that has all different animals on it - that was pretty cool. but, then last week i found out that my seat turns! and would you believe, there were all kinds of fun animals, colors and buttons behind me the whole time?! my jumper is the best! last week was not so fun for me. my first two teeth came in - boy did that hurt! i tried and tried to tell my mom what was wrong but she didn't understand me, so i decided just to cry instead, that made me feel better. but now i have two little teeth (everyone keeps looking at them saying how cute they are - they sure didn't feel cute coming in). Tonight after dinner, mom let brother and me have some of these round little o things for a snack. they looked kinda like the little wheels on the cars my brother plays with, but when I saw that big brother of mine eating them, I wanted to try too. boy were those good! at first they felt really funny in my mouth but before i knew it i was gobbling them up. i chomped a few with my new teeth but it was more fun opening and closing my mouth like a fishy until they were all soft and mushy. mom kept saying i looked like a trout, what's a trout? mom had that silly black thing with a bright light out again, so she said she'd include some pictures of us eating our snack. i just hope i can get some more of those o's!

well mom says it's past my bedtime so i should be going now. i hope all is well with everyone. enjoy the pictures!

xo,
eliahs

The Cake

So we made it through our first big cake decorating project. Not without lots of troubles, tests and a very late night. But... it turned out great and tasted delicious! We made the cake for the Fab 4 party (one big party for the 4 kids in our family that have February birthdays). Since no pirate party is complete with out with a treasure map and chest, that's just what we did.... made a treasure chest cake complete with treasure map, pirates and loot!
The chest is all cake decorated in fondant. Each of the kids, the rocks and the treasure map were all fondant and edible too. You could even eat the sand if you wanted!

Us when we were done decorating... ready to clean up. If you could see the clock behind us it would say 2:04. That's AM.

The Whole thing!

Since we last wrote, Trevahn has celebrated his 7th birthday and Eliahs his 5 month birthday.

Chad and I have started practicing decorating cakes with fondant and recently made our "rough draft" cakes.

Eliahs is getting bigger every day. He is starting to sit up on his own more and is loving eating solids more than ever. He LOVES his vegetables! Trevahn is a healthy 7 year old and thoroughly enjoying being a big brother. He's discovering new ways to make Eliahs giggle every day!

A lot has happened with us over the past month.
Jill, Stuart and Harvey came for a visit. We were able to spend some good time with them. Trevahn, Sister and I took a trip to the Clay Corner Studio and painted some pottery. It was such a good time! Santa surprised us and left it under the tree for us Christmas morning!

The boys (Eliahs and Trevahn) got baptised on December 20th. We had a private ceremony at our church with our families. After the ceremony Chad surprised me with a proposal!! Only a couple of people knew his plan so everyone was surprised... especially me! :)

We ventured up to Rib Mtn for an evening of skiing and snowboarding with Jilly and Stuart. It was Trevahn's first time on a big hill snowboarding and he did GREAT! Chad also tried out his new board - he did a great job too. Me, well I skiied - if that's what you could call it! Sorry - I don't have any pictures of that (thankfully! :) )

We enjoyed our first Christmas with Eliahs and were able to spend time with each of our families. We spent Christmas eve with Chad's family and Christmas day with my family. We are all looking forward to Eliahs running around and tearing open presents on his own next year!

Eliahs had his 4 month check up today. He's a healthy little boy and we're able to start him on solids now. I've included some pictures of his first experience with baby cereal. He loved it - couldn't get enough!

All full!
